Appointment Cancellation Policy
Your appointments are very important to Studio NiJay Salon. We held your appointments just for you & ask that if you must cancel or reschedule any appointment, please provide us with a 24-hour notice. This way, our team of professionals will be able to adjust their schedules accordingly and we may be able to accommodate clients on our waiting list. We do, of course, understand that unavoidable issues come up and we will do our best to work with you in case of an emergency, etc. Here is our general breakdown of cancellation fees:
• Less than 24-hour notice will result in a charge equal to 50% of reserved appointment(s)
• ‘NO SHOWS’ will be charged 100% of service amount. (Cancellation within 4 hours of your appointment is considered a NO-SHOW)
As a courtesy, text and/or email to confirm the date and time at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. You are always welcome to call and double check any appointments if you’re unsure.
We will always try our best to accommodate you if you’re running behind, stuck in traffic, etc. It happens, we know! However, your tardiness can affect the remainder of our teams’ day by delaying them for their clients who come in on time. For this reason, we have set a few general ground rules for such situations. Clients will generally be allowed a 10 minute grace period. After that time, we will call to check in on you. If you are able to make it in time for your entire service to be completed, great! If not, you may have to forgo parts of the service in order to keep it in the time allotted for you. If you have services with multiple operators and cancel with them, you will be charge 100% of the service if not canceled in 24 hours. Please, always call if you even think you might be late; we’d rather know as early as possible so we can do our best to fit you in without upsetting the flow of our day!
Again, please remember that your appointments are reserved for you & only you. These policies allow us the opportunity to alert our standby clients of any openings, therefore allowing us to provide the best service possible. Late Guests Policy
We understand "life happens". If for any reason you are expecting to be late by 10 minutes or more to scheduled appointment, please call us! 318-588-0818.
We work very hard to schedule the right amount of time for each service. Accommodating late guests is often impossible without disrupting every other guest schedule that day. Please be aware in the unfortunate event you are late, we cannot guarantee that your services will be performed that day. Tardiness may require rescheduling your appointment for another day.
Child Safety Policy - MUST READ
Children are ONLY permitted in the salon when the child is receiving a service and is 13 yrs old or older. We do not have the facilities to care for children. We love children, and we hope you understand that we cannot assure their safety in a professional environment. We also do not want to compromise the relaxation of our guests. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

To Our Current and Future clients of the salon,
We write this notice with the utmost respect to the parents in our salon. Over half of our staff are parents themselves and understand that this can be a sensitive issue. Moving forward, we will be implementing a new policy regarding children and their presence in the salon. We feel as a business, children who visit the salon during their parents' appointments or children who are unattended in the waiting area pose a safety issue. We work in an environment that has sharp scissors, razors, chemicals and hot curling and flat irons that can reach above 450 degrees. If something were to happen to your child, it would not only be devastating toy ou and your family, it would be equally as devastating to us.
We encourage parents to visit the salon without their children unless the child has an appointment. During their appointment, children need to be able to sit still so that the stylist can perform a quality service.
Please understand that our concern is the safety of your child. We write this notice without the intent of offending and hope that you will aid us in keeping our salon a safe environment. Please contact us if you have concerns or questions about our new policy.
